Lifting eye bolts and eye nuts

Robur eyebolts Eyebolts, also called lifting eyes, are rings that are usually fixed to machinery or other heavy objects to facilitate or allow them to be lifted using cranes, hoists or other handling equipment. Lifting usually occurs by passing a lifting band, a metal cable which is then hooked to the lifting means, into the eye of the eyebolt, or by directly inserting the hook into the eyebolt. Robur eyebolts can also be used in many other applications, for example to anchor heavy loads on means of transport or for towing vehicles. Eyebolts can be equipped with a threaded shank (male eyebolt) or a threaded hole (female eyebolt). They can be fixed, adjustable or articulated. An eyebolt is said to be orientable if the ring is able to rotate on one axis and articulated if the ring can move on at least two axes. Of particular note are the safety eyebolts , designed to minimize the risk of accidents. In naval equipment, the eyebolt is a metal ring firmly secured to the hull or other structures of the vessel, which is used to attach tackle, pulleys, ropes, anchor chain drafts, etc.
